Young People at Duffield

Learn skills, have fun, make friends

Developing young talent

Kids playing racket sports at Duffield have fun while also developing a range of skills. They

  • Keep fit and improve coordination
  • Build strength and resilience
  • Make new friends
  • Develop team-working and communication skills
  • Learn self-discipline and sportsmanship

One of our club’s main aims is to develop young tennis, squash and racketball players. Our licensed coaches provide structured, high-quality training programmes for ages 4 – 18. Sessions run after school and at weekends. We also encourage our youngsters to play in competitions and events as part of a club team or as individuals. Some of our youngsters also go on to develop their coaching and leadership skills, often as part of the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.

Important Information

Safeguarding

The safety and security of our younger members is of paramount concern at the club. Should children or parents have any concerns at any time, please contact our Welfare Officer, or consult our Safeguarding Policies. Tennis members may also report a concern to the LTA.

Children and parents must abide by our code of conduct and other policies.

Please note that under our changing room policy, youngsters under the age of 18 should, whenever possible, come to the club changed into their kit ready to play.
